Michael (xChaos), I beg to differ, you DO NOT NEED TO REVERSE ENGINEER CORE.EXE TO READ THE OBSCENITIES! You can read the file with a viewer such as VIEW v 8.6, or another I have called SEE.EXE...or, if you are industrious, you could even fire up a hex editor just for viewing, such as HEXIT...the phrase is in plain view. Now, granted that no all of us are extremely bothered by such phrases, there are some who may object to these words. Perhaps it would be wise to change the phrase required for registration, then issue a new registration key to registered users upon request. Current registered users should send their registration key to you as "proof of purchase", upon which Arachne Labs would simply issue the new key to unlock the registration passphrase (the new, non-obscene one, hehe). This is only a suggestion. Regarding "stupidity" on Microsoft's part, that may be, I prefer to withold judgement at this time. Other software programs have used the exact same TEMP setting (SET TEMP=C:\DOS) for quite a number of years now. They do this by writing temporary files with the "TMP" extension. Perhaps CLR.BAT should be re-written to delete ONLY temporary files created by Arachne. Might need a bit fo fine-tuning to change the file extension of temp files, but it shouldn't require too long. At the least, a warning box upon Arachne installation should caution the user to check the TEMP variable and make the necessary changes..."MD C:\TEMP, SET TEMP=C:\TEMP, SET TMP=C:\TEMP" or whatever! Again, only a suggestion. C U L8R! Wiz Glenn Gilbreath, Jr. Wizard57M http://msnhomepages.talkcity.com/RightWay/wizard57m/index.html ----------------------------------------------- FREE!
