Hi List!

Well, you forgot a couple of other types of file encodings I've ran across
over the years! Do you have any friends using a MacIntosh? If so, you are
very likely to receive a BINHEX encoded file! Hehe, or, if someone like me
who uses POPMail or a Minuet user sends an attachment, unless they use
MIME/UU on a file beforehand, it will be in BINHEX encode format! I use PC
BINHEX to decode stuff I send myself. The other format I've ran across is
XXENCODED...similar to UU. I use the freeware utility called FCODE20 for
DOS, this will en/decode UU/XX/MIME64 files. Another oddball I ran into a
number of years ago was BIN2ASCII...so I found a freeware decoder/encoder
for that too, it was similar to BINHEX, called BTOA. If interested, just
send an email and I can either attach to a reply, or, you should be able to
find them using Google, or at Rich Green's DOS Freeware site, or at least a
link to them!
