Could you send me the prog by Richard Marks on Encoding/Decoding
with UU. Around 5 a.m this morning I tried to surf or send mail with
'Rachne and she locked up on me. I still don't entirely know why. It
may be a HD prob or just the bad phone line, I don't know.
I have enabled Cachetemp2=yes and am using a small ramdisk {760K}
and "she" saves most files for viewing in the C:\temp
directory but recently I noticed files with names like "Cache12354.htm"
in the root directory of the HD so I wonder if the system is experiencing
and prob with use of memory and DRAM with the file compression program.
The program: Microsoft Drivespace for Dos 6.22. Is this just
Microsoft trying to kick an newbie Arachnoid in the back? Oh well, I
guess a sense of humor helps. 'Rachne worked fine earlier for mail
reading and sent mail just fine for several days. I wonder if this is
one
of those inherant prob's with newer Arachne version that shows up more in
A165, etc.
