Dev Telucksingh says that it uses 3K of memory to load
the program. To me this *is* significant. Fortunately
it can be unloaded or disabled when not needed. Nice
feature, but I can't afford the additional cost to my
precious memory resources. For this reason, I would much
rather live without it

For those of us who use DOS and conventional filenames
and consisting of the traditional 8.3 format, then how
can it save us more than just a few keypresses every now
and then?

Those who use other OS's and long filenames of course have
problems.
