I am in the same situation... freewwweb is gone and 1nol pulled
out of my area also.. the infree/onfree access is via uunet from
my location in SE Texas... I have not figured out what the
difference in my winsock settings / scripts and my arachne
settings / scripts... they seem to be the same.... I even used
the freewwweb configuration file and replaced the important
stuff with infree/onfree data... anyway, the signup I used
was at:
http://signup.onfree.co/cgi-bin/infree.cgi
I am also going to forward two messages from the
"freenet" list on egroups... they have some information
on signup in them also...
