probably (no offense intended) because most of the source come from Linux
were CHAP/PAP haven't been a big hit yet AFAIK. And the original autor
(Toni Lopez) never even tried the PAP/CHAP abbilities AFAIK.

I never seemed to have trouble with the PAP part of EPPPD dialing outside
Arachne. I believe EPPPD used with Arachne is the same EPPPD from DOSPPPD 0.6?
Might (Free, Net, Open)BSD PAP be sturdier? I never tried any of the BSDs
beyond downloading the boot images, making and booting the boot diskettes.
