Sam ... Win-Modem and plug and play are not the same ....
WinModems run only in windows, because they are dumb, and a driver in
windows does eg comperssion.
Plug and Play does not mean WinModem.
Plug and play means that the BIOS/OS can change the configuration of your
modem.
If the modem is no winmodem, than it can be used in DOS.
(even if it is plug and play)
