The modem test that Clarence sent ....just came through on this end as
random letters and numbers....
I found a program called portinfo that checks for modems etc. It found
it and my mouse, and gave its location etc....but I have to be honest,
some of this is beyond me, I am still a rookie when it comes to
understanding the lingo....
(I have a bid on a 28.8 modem by Motorola)
I am hoping to use it with my old Toshiba laptop.
I need to find something on understanding DOS....are there any sites
available on the net that are geared towards novices?
