It is shareware, but free for non-commercial use. However, registration is
expected if you are living in rich western or central European country,

Problems were usual user access rights related, and had nothing to do with
the fact, that Arachne Labs will have our own distribution of Linux web
server (workstation is planned too, but it will be much, much more work
than webserver Linux...)

It was my sysadmin who caused this ;-) He increase3d security too much.
Old installation was hacked, BTW (fortunately hacker was not too evil)

Check size of SVGAlib - I think it is under 300 KB, while Arachne for
Linux with only one font set included should be up to 800 KB, or so.
Question is version of libc provided by BasicLinux.
