Yes, well, hmmmmm! (no verb?)
Spanish grammar has around 14 tenses as I remember, so perhaps we
should be thankful English has so (by comparison) few! ISTR names
along the lines of "Post indicative future participles" and so on. I
was just glad that Rafael, my tutor said,
"Forget all that rubbish, just use the present, past and possibly the
future tenses on occasion, and the Spanish people will understand
and love you for it"
and I've taken his advice ever since. He was right, by the way, most
Spanish speakers love to hear the Scots mangling their
pronunciations, apparently we sound verrrrry sexy with it - - - or
was that funnnnny? I can never quite remember.
