    The great Rabbie is Burns and his poetry is ALWAYS 
referred to as the "Works of Robert Burns" or possibly 
"Burns Poems" and "Burns Poetry"...  Aficionados go to a 
"Burns Supper", never a Burns's Supper...< 
    
    I don't see that Messrs. Strunk & White would have 
anything to worry about.  Neither the Burns Suppers nor the 
Burns Society belong to Mr. Burns, so S&W's comments 
regarding singular possessives are not applicable thereto. 

    I really do have to scotch that idea.
