You should have more than this. Try and load drivers high in autoexec.bat
and config.sys I think the problems you are seeing is that Arachne needs to
swap out (or really can't swap in low memory).

Hmm... 256 colors? I think it looses some memory (1 or 2K) each time you
view a JPG (actually a BMP). This is (hopefully) fixed in 1.67 (or whatever
the next version will be called).
