I prefer GIF and I have converted some of my BMPs to GIF.
The BMP2GIF is available in download/general.
I have also converted some to ZBM which is 100% lossless and
has both better compression and faster load time with Arachne.
Jake has done a comparison of these various formats and I hope
he steps in here to tell us about it. <g>
