Here's a thing.
I've got my 'XMS for Animated GIFs and fonts' setting (Options -
Preferences & Performance screen) set at max 1Mb for one and 2Mb for
all. Now - if I look in ARACHNE.CFG (towards the end of the file), I
find these two lines:
XMS4allGIFs 2048
XMS4oneGIF 1040000
The top one I understand, but what's that odd figure for the lower
one?? It's not any sort of figure I recognise for 1Mb or 1024kb.
I just wondered whether it reveals a minor bug-ette somewhere that's
responsible for the lingering memory problems in Arachne. If I'm being
very stupid, please ignore this!!
