Yes.

No. She actually works on a much simpler level. If you look at Arachne.bat
you can get a BIT of an idea of how she decides what to do this time around
the loop - but the online/offline business is not obvious from this.

The second version of Arachne thought it was offline because it couldn't
find PPP.log - that's all. ;-)
