WATTCP also checks the environment variable WATTCFG if WATTCP.CFG is not
present. It _is_ possible to include separators such as "." in
environment variable names, but there's a lot to be changed in order to
do that. Those changes cause the OS to lose much (though not nearly all)
its advantage. I can't remember how it's done, as I choose to KEEP all
the advantages. I do remember it's hidden way back in the documentation,
possibly in a /h to some device driver.
There are a few other utilities that like to place separators in
environment variable names. It's just not "standard DOS" to do so.
