Some of you may have noticed that the slowest thing about loading any
page on the Arachne website is the damn banner ads; they can take longer
than the entire rest of the page.
Consequently, I often stop the download at that point ... who needs the
dumb ads!
However, there are a couple of problems.
Somewhat with 1.68, but more with 1.69, I've found I'm left with a
totally BLANK screen. I had something on the screen before -- like just
about everything except a couple of graphics; but if I hit the big black
X I no longer have anything on the screen.
Additionally with 1.69, I've been having *major* problems with table
rendering... even on Arachne website pages. :<
This time I'm sitting on the browser page, trying once again to load
APMs into 1.69, and when that !$!@~!!@!@ ad banner starts trying to
reload again I again hit BBX. The page writes to screen ... with the
entire center table being only about 25 characters across. ALT-TAB
rewrites the screen, but again it renders as that single center narrow
column.
