Hi Folks,

I also found it to be very difficult, but not because of the folks at Arachne
Sales, who were really great. Take a bow Martina. :)

I chose not to use a bank cheque - the fees charged by Australian banks are
of heroic proportions and the exchange rate was also a killer. I chose to use
a money order sold through Australia Post.

My first money order (from Oz I had to use Western Union) never got to
Michael. It took 5 months to get the Australian Post Office to get my money
refunded, which arrived as a US bank cheque in US dollars made out to me.

  Useless !

If I tried to pay it into my own bank, I would have ended up owing my bank
money after their charges had been calculated.

Eventually I shamed the Australian Post Office into re-issuing a new money
order made out to Michael. I sent it registered, this time, with the added cost
of notification of delivery.

My registration key came by email in about 10 days, but the little postcard
with a signature on it (postal registration proof of delivery) took another two
months.

It has cost me over $100 Australian, and more than 8 months, to register
Arachne. Throughout this time the folks at Arachne sales were very
understanding and supportive.

So, Constant, you heard right. It is not for the faint hearted !

Please, Michael, find a better way for us Arachnids to send you money.
We cannot rely on the mail even getting to you, and Western Union money orders
were more trouble than they were worth. Cheques in US dollars are not viable
for those living outside the USA.

For my own business, I can accept VISA or MASTERCARD from anywhere in
the world, in any currency. I even have clients in the USA. Card details can be
faxed, phoned or sent in by snail mail (I couldn't afford a secure server, so
no card details are sent over the internet or email). It doesn't cost the
earth. Surely this can also be done from Prague.
