Hello Arachnids:
Before installing an Arachne upgrade I always rename the directory where
my existing version is installed by using a simple Ziff-Davis freeware
utility named RENDIR.COM, 1,139 bytes, dated 1-23-86. If you don't know
where you can download this file I will gladly send you a copy by private
email. I don't know where you can download it.
After the new installation is complete, I will copy some of the files from
my old Arachne installation into the appropriate directories/subdirectories
of my new installation. By installing an upgrade in this manner there is
no danger of overwriting existing files that I want to keep.
For the time being I don't think I will want to upgrade to a newer version
until such a time that Michael should start making available some reduced
CORE.APMs for the newer versions.
All the best,
Sam Heywood
Still satisfied with Arachne 1.66 with reduced CORE.APM
