Hello,

I have created new mailbox specialy for Arachne bug reports. I felt
strong need for separating negative Arachne feedback from my personal
e-mail. Don't understand me wrong - this "negative" feedback is in fact
very valuable and quite "positive" for future Arachne development, but
it simply needs different processing than my personal mail. I read my
mail from many different places, usually using pine from shell acount or
IMAP from Netscape (I am planning to add IMAP to Arachne too, because it
is only professional way to handle corporate e-mail... unfortunately,
POP3 downloads to PC are not the way to go when you are really using
e-mail and e-mail foldersfor mission-critical tasks, like running your
own company...).

So please, send all Arachne bug reports to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I am going
to create also online bug submission form somewhere at
browser.arachne.cz, and I will announce this service both online and in
documentation of new Arachne release. But you can start immediately,
without waiting for official announce and official form:

Maibox is: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Please write subject like:

{version} for {DOS | Linux} : {Crashes | Layout bug | Cookie bug | GUI
bug | etc.} [at URL ..... ]

for non-programmers: this expands to eg.:

Subject: 1.69 for DOS: Crashes at http://www.google.com

It will be very easy for me to download this mailbox to latest Arachne,
and directly test all URLs and try to fix them. Please specify the URLs
also in body of the message, if they are more of them or if they are
long.
Write them down in Insight-clickable form (with http:// prefix).

You can CC: all mails to [EMAIL PROTECTED] also to Arachne mailing list,
so hardcore Arachne users now, that bug was already submitted and don't
submit it twice.

I will try to confirm all fixed bugs by replying to those e-mails. But
it would be nice, if
"bug-owners" ( nice term, isn't it :-)) can confirm bug fix after new
Arachne is released. I know that you are already doing so, but by
poiting all bug reports to this e-mail address, there will be higher
chance that I will really solve the bug. When you report the bug to my
personal e-mail, you can basicaly just make me feel nervous that there
is one more bug in Arachne, but you decrease chance that the bug will be
actually fixed in next release.

Thank you.
