Dear Glenn:

As a "behind" type of Arachne user, I can say I seem pretty
satisfied with ver. 1.65. However, I have not tested it that much.
I started by installing it for my sister's Yahoo account {maybe birthday
present, I dunno}. I find that I get that same error as Gregy F. too.
I used cookies for awhile on both arachne version *.61 and *.65 but have
since disabled cookies again for 1.61 {the version I got first from
Arachne Labs}. I don't like *&%# them, but nevertheless, they are a
fact of life in the Internet community now. It is good that Michael
is trying to add some support for logging into web-based services into
Arachne. I think this is probably first real hurdle towards making
Arachne good, slim browser for DOS and Linux, and making it competitive
with other browsers, especially Netscape. It just may be not that easy
as first hoped for in 1.68 and 1.69 versions. L.D. is singing the
blues. It is the holidays and I am not seeking another debate on web
sites and OS's, but it seems that her criticisms are along the lines of
if you want Arachne fully functional {or mostly}, you must install
Linux. Or did she already do that? She has web hosting so maybe I am
wrong. Maybe it's just me, but I hoped you are not offended at my
"venting" occassionally by expressing my opinion.

P.S.> My nephew burst out with the usual sort of talk about the
deficiencies of DOS as an operating system by saying that it won't
do "www.britneyspears/b.s/.com" It won't sing and dance and do
other "bullshit", as he puts it. Excuse my nephew, he is not yet
14.

Yours,

Thomas/ "tomstfor"
