Hi gangue,
Here we go again! I've done the 167 install and as I say, the browser
works well, I AM impressed with the new features and so on.
I still can't get the d*%n e-mailer to work. I've tried and better
tried, I've put TEMP and ARACHNETEMP lines in and out of
Autoexec.bat, I've altered lines in the arachnecfg file and even
tried the default settings in the arachne help files
set TEMP=C:\TEMP
MKDIR %TEMP%
but it still logs on to the pop3, starts with
OK loading #1 of whatever
and then cancels and comes up with badly ill screen, the one that
starts
xxx
It won't send smtp mail either.
Any ideas anyone? I know it has to be something absolutely
simple/stupid, I just don't know what! Oh and remember guys, I have
never claimed to be a DOS person, so you need to spell out in full
any remedy.
On the other hand, html is easy for me to work with . . . .(VBG)
