Hi LD, anyone running 1.69.
I checked out your URL above with A1.62 and had no cursor problem using
640x480 256c and a very small virtual screen. Smooth scrolling off.
To see if it was an A1.69 problem, I exited A1.62 (online), copied
ppp.log to A1.69 dir and entered A1.69 via arachne -r.
I do this all the time with A1.62 and A1.67 cuz the FTP works right
in A1.67.
I got some immediate looping business when I entered A1.69 and it
wouldn't even show the desktop/homepage/whatever - just some VGA
text (not proper mode) repetitively saying "File not found".
None of the hotkeys would work. ESC, altX, altE.
Had to hit the reset button.
Restarted A1.62 and got this message FROM ARACHNE:
Sector not found reading drive C: (Sound familiar ?)
Exited.
Chkdsk. One lost cluster 4kb. Fixed it.
NDD. Check drive C: says the FATS aren't the same. (Familiar now ?)
DOS hadn't objected. Let Norton fix it. Hey, it's trashed anyway. :-(
I think my 1.62 is scrap now. Posting with 1.66
