  It is open source, so in that way, it is unlike VBR mp3s.

  I haven't looked heavily into VBR mp3, but except for that, it
does appear to be somewhat similar.

  The main page was www.vorbis.org, but that now forwards
to http://www.xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/index.html
http://www.vorbis.com/download.html is still valid though.

  On Google, 'ogg vorbis DOS' returns 174 hits.
Even 'ogg vorbis DOS DJGPP' gets 11 hits.
