Or, are you sure? Win2000 boot disk can't even access NTFS partition? How is
a Win2000 user supposed to recover if there is damage to the file system, and
what about applying updates? OS/2 Warp 4 requires 3 diskettes to boot for
installation or maintenance but is able to read HPFS from this boot. How many
diskettes are needed to boot Win2000 for installation (or update?)? Will
Arachne have to be spruced up to browse NTFS partition? I think somewhere was
a DOS read-only NTFS driver?
MS did its damnedest to make it look like WinME was not DOS, hiding the means to
reach a DOS prompt. Now we assume there will be no WinME 2, though there may be
fixpacks, hence no need for WinME2.
