Ron, This isn't a bug. Default 'HTML background color' is only for HTML pages with no bgcolor declared in most cases; setting html bgcolor will *NOT* affect the background color of tables ... and the forms you refer to *are* tables. The mail-handling stuff is separate .htp or .ah pages [those things I spend hours on making workable for me]. The color codes are hardwired [except for link colors which are part of Arachne selection]. If you want the background to be "teal" you need to rewrite those pages; if you have a decent editor simply do a search/replace for #C0C0C0/teal. You'll find the .ah files in system/gui and the .htp files in main directory. Hope that helps ...
