From what I can gather from a quick google search, utility
patents expire 20 years from the filing date... so if that's
the filing date, we still have a few years before it expires.
There's another page I found which says "under the old
regulations" a patent expires 15 years after filing (or the
priority date), whatever that is.
Probably with some persistent searching, the answer could be
found, but I'm off to pack more boxes. :-/
