Thanks Glenn and Clarence for showing me how to turn of the automatic
redial feature. 'Don't know where we would be without you guys.
Here is another problem:
A couple of months ago I set up '1.66 on a friend's 486 with no
problems. However, recently, and for no reason that I can fathom, it
has stopped connecting. I've tried miniterm from the command line, and
I get the 'NO CONNETION' message after the modem has dialed and gone
thru its normal-sounding negotiating noises. What could be wrong? Is
there a list of the settings/files that miniterm is using that could be at
fault? The modem will connect just fine under NS 3.0, so it isn't a
hardware thing. I've been a good boy and looked thru my back issues of
the list for an answer, but I can't find anything that hits the nail on
the head.
Thank you, Oh Enlightened Ones.
