Hi there gangue,
Sunday again, the weeks go by as quickly as ever, don't they?
On the vehicle scene, we've ordered a Pajero, the short wheel base three
door one. This is to be ready 1st March. We've gone for the 2.5 Turbo
Diesel. This will deal with our caravan without even worrying if it's
there, plenty of low down torque, 2 wheel, 4 wheel drive in High ratio,
then there's a Low ratio gearbox and a Differential lock available as
well. We need to get the caravan serviced for then as well, so after
that we'll be ready to go off for another year of camping and
caravanning OK!
One of the main news stories here in the UK this week, of course the
weather. That's us Brits for you! Many areas suffering floods up to 4 ft
deep, about 1.25 metres for those continentally minded. Up in Scotland
this has been snow of course, rather than rain, and we are only now
seeing it melting over the last couple of days or so.
Arachne continues to annoy me with the xswap-thing. Bernie has promised
to look at writing up the .asf file and instructions to make it work
from go for the newbies (and me, grin *8> ) Still playing wityh the CSS
support. Does anyone know how far this goes in terms of an external CSS
file? For example, can you call an external file such as "arachne.css"
in the html and how far will Arachne follow it?
I'm still finding that Arachne seems to be capable of getting into a
busy server better than the bloatware of IE or Netscape. Again a couple
of times last week, Arachne straight in, one try, but IE and Netscape
taking three or four tries when the same server is as busy, Curious one
that, is it Arachne working with the interrupt lines better or something
like that?
Ella, (she who wields the big stick!) is making me work through the list
of jobs to be done around the house, and she says they all have to be
done before we can go camping. Anybody any good at fitting carpets?
Take care guys and gals, don't step on people on the way up, you might
need them on the way back down again
Regards
Mel
