Clarence, Clarification needed ... Are you using the "built-in" FTP form within Arachne, or are you shelling out to use the FTP program by itself? I can envision possible problems doing the former, problems which could be Arachne generated. But I've had no problem doing the latter ... using the stand-alone FTP program while shelled out. Ooops ... almost forgot clarification: I no longer can use QEMM [3Com NICs refuse to recognize it], but I've had no problem with EMM386 from DOS 6.22 ... You know that QEMM is more likely to catch a problem before that problem crashes the system, and I've had no system crashes while doing FTP. l.d. ==== On Fri, 23 Feb 2001 02:41:39 -0400, Clarence Verge wrote: > Repeated attempts to find a valid FTP upload path with A1.70 caused > repeated QEMM exceptions and total crash. > The same experiments with A1.67 produced no ill effects, except for > my failure to find the path. > P90, 16Mb memory, DOS 5.0, QEMM 5.12. > Don't knock it - it's efficient. <g> > - Clarence Verge > - Still using Arachne V1.62 .... -- Arachne V1.70;rev.3, NON-COMMERCIAL copy, http://arachne.cz/
