Good Morning Gangue,
A touch more of snow here in Edinburgh this morning, just a centimetre
or so, but still a bit cold outside, but a nice winter sun overhead, and
of course it's dry which makes things feel better.
Dreadful news for the UK farmer. Foot and Mouth disease has broken out
in various parts of the country, but seems to be traced back to one
source in Northumbria, where the farm concerned was known by locals to
be badly run. Perhaps if someone had pointed this out to the authorities
sooner, then we might not be in this situation. We've been asked not to
go into the country unless it's necessary over the next week or so till
they get things sorted out. All movements of farm animals are coming to
a halt, and already the supermarkets are predicting meat shortages by
the end of next week as poeople are panic buying and stocking freezers!
Then there was another out break of Foot * in * Mouth disease in the US
where Blair met Bush *8>) Somebody once said, Politicians are like
dirty nappies (diapers?), they should be changed regularly and for the
same reasons! VBG!
Still busy with carpets here. Ella (the hand that rocks the cradle and
rules the world, along with LD that is) has decreed that we do not go
caravanning till all the household jobs are finished. Anybody any good
at putting up shelves? fitting carpets? painting doors? creosote on
fences? and so on? and so on?
Pajero is ready next week (1st March) so you can bet she will change her
mind by then. Then agian, once we start weekend caravanning, I will have
to change this to "Monday Meander" if we are away?
xswap still giving errors on getmail script. I think I'll start from
scratch there, I've got a copy of 1.44 somewhere, it worked perfcetly
with that to get and receive mail.
Got a call from the travel agent on Thursday. (I arrange a holiday for
the caravan club to Spain each year for about 35 or 40 people) Do I want
to go to Spain for a week in April for �100.00UKP for the two of us to
see a new campsite he is using as from March 2002. This is an inspection
trial visit to see if it's suitable for our members. Took me all of ten
seconds to say yes. 100.00UKP is only about $235 and that's for the two
of us, plus he takes us for a meal whilst we are there to discuss the
2002 programme.

somebody p*sses you off this week, remember it takes 42 muscles to
frown, and only 4 muscles to smack them in the mouth "GRIN"
