I would recomend dosamp.apm if you only want to play MP3s since
there's no nag-screen. IIRC there's also another one, but I haven't tested
it so I can't comment on it.
Sadly there's no MP3 player for DOS that can play directly from the 
Internet - yet anyway...
QV is a great tool for movies (MPEG, AVI and MOV). However it's way too
outdated nowdays when almost everything is in RealMedia, QuickTime 3/4/5
or DivX format and thereby requiring Windows :(
