Clarence is quite right about the history getting "killed".

I just ran a few tests. The history file is overwritten with the
contents of the .ASF
If no history file exists when the .ASF begins, it is created.

It's just as if core.exe were doing this.....

c:\>type whatever.asf>history.lst<enter>

"Q" creates and automatically runs $TMP$.ASF
So hitting the Q key at any time (even accidentally), "kills" the history.

IMO, This is a bug. :(
