I partially agree, it's often easier to lie a bit and say you are using
Linux in case you wonder about something "odd" (read: non Windowish).
However Or you typed that "other OS" wrong, it's UN*X (I've seen the * on
almost all places so AFAIK you can shift it around as you wish). I think
I've even used this spelling (or an alternative form) on papers handed in
for university and exams, but there hasn't been a response from any teacher
yet ;-)
BTW: I sent a mail to Creative to ask about how I would install the drivers
for my SB 128 PCI and recently got a response back (however I had found a
person from Greece that had had the same problems and asked him in between
so I know have the drivers I just can't use them). Anyway, I had clearly
stated that I wanted the DOS drivers and I got a Word DOC file describing
what I should do in return ;-) However the file was clearly meant for
support personel when they would try and help the user so either the person
at Creative made a misstake or assumed I knew somehting about what I was
doing.
