Hi:
Yesterday I downloaded and installed an excellent file manager utility
for DOS and Windoze. I know how you guys hate to work with the idiotic
Windoze Explorer file manager program.
Try using Tutordo. It works in a manner similar to our all-time favorite
DR.COM, except that it has support for long file names, and it may be used
not only for viewing text files, but for editing them as well by
automatically loading your favorite external text editor. Simply by
pressing <enter> on a listed file you may even automagically view it
with an image viewer program that you may specify under file associations.
(I use LXPIC.COM. It comes provided with the Lynx386 and Bobcat download
package). Also you may simply press enter on an HTM file and view it
offline with Arachne. You may even set up different sets of file
associations for different extensions in DOS and for Windoze. It has all
these features and much more. Tudordo runs in a DOS-box under Windoze or
you may run it in a DOS-only machine. This program is really cool.
Freeware! Get your copy from a link on the Tutordo Home Page,
http://bbs.ctonline.it/user/marcel/tutordo.htm
The home page has a screen-shot. Versions are available in Italian and
and in English.
I hope you guys like this utility as much as I do.
