Hi L.D.,
for me right these files are very, very helpful as they facilitate
data transfer to other applications. When I leave Arachne and start
my text editor or a program to reformat a picture I am really
happy that they can import temporary files from Arachne. I consider
this a great advantage of Arachne that these data is not somewhere
hidden in memory but "really" existing on your hard drive. And you
know what is going on.
On the other hand I must admit that I do not care at all for cleaning
up: My Arachne is installs on a RAM disk with a built-in cleaning up
feature - but only after you finished your work not after leaving
Arachne.
