Hello:

I just received a most unusual spam message which consisted of an
HTML attachment containing this hyperlink:

<p class=MsoNormal>YES &gt;<a
href="..\..\..\..\My%20Documents\ABX%20Clients\1506%20Dream%20Makers\Marketing%20Material\[EMAIL PROTECTED]">Click
Here</a><o:p></o:p></p>

It is my guess that the link is designed to open some kind of local file,
and to perhaps autogenerate some kind of a "mailto:"; address in a file in a
subdirectory that couldn't possibly even exist in a DOS computer. I don't
know anything about the "MsoNormal" tag. There were many such "MsoNormal"
tags in this HTML file. Is the "MsoNormal" tag a new evil being inflicted
on the unknowing who are using some kind of really bad MicroSoft program?

Can anyone please enlighten me about the "MsoNormal" tags and also explain
the possible intent of the spammer? Why would the spammer have any reason
to suppose that anyone might have the referenced file in his computer? It
makes absolutely no sense to me.

Regards,

Sam Heywood
