ISTR is an acronym (the first letters of each word Hristo) for
"I Seem To Remember"

English is my first and main language, but ISTR had me floored! Could also be
"I Seem To Regret" or "I Slip To Ruination"?
IIRC had me floored for a long time, wondering what the first I was before
Internet Relay Chat.
Actually, I don't see these acronyms on the Web. These acronyms occur in email
and newsgroups, I suppose they would also occur IIRC (In Internet Relay Chat,
this time).
