Yes, it's a bug ... and I'll be darned if I can figure out what causes
it.  You can experiment on your own if you'd like, and confirm that
putting the ending ] doesn't change what happens, nor does removing the
<> around null, nor does removing "TO:" nor does removing "RCPT" ..

If you look closely at the top of the offending page in InSight, you'll
see there is text written to the top of the page under the buttons. 
That text is *not* placed there within the code [you can check with F-4
to confirm that also].  It *may* be placed there because of something
else in the program code of InSight.

I've had this problem before, often with long subject lines ... but line
length alone isn't the problem either.  And although in the case in
point it was what followed "[" which was placed there, in other
instances there wasn't a square bracket to be seen anywhere in the
subject line.

Only way to delete such a message [because that line nullifies button
access] is to go back out to Index and use "right click DEL"
