Good for you!

Things aren't going so well for users of the UK's
biggest ISP, the now French-owned Freeserve. See:

http://groups.google.com/groups?lr=&safe=off&group=freeserve.help.unlimited

After numerous dropped connections over the past few
weeks leaving my Win3.11 setup completely locked up,
yesterday and today I could only retrieve mail headers
or about a kilobyte of a webpage. I normally don't
use InSight as FoxMail is faster and allows a selective
download from the mail server. But I _know_ Arachne has
performed admirably as my Internet survival kit on several
occasions, and She hasn't been nearly so troubled by the
connection problems assailing other users.

I wonder what the ISP does at their end to screw things,
and what they have overlooked that allows Arachne thru
like a WWII Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Swordfish raid?
(Apologies to any Italian readers!)

Regards,

Jake
