There are no virus that can't be stopped.

Norton utilities isn't included in Explorer or Navigator.

AFAIK there's no NU version for Mac (I might be wrong about that however).

No, the only virus was the mail that you sent. Obviously you don't know
about these things yet so I'll let you off with just a warning. Next time
I'll get rude but I doubt we'll get there :)

This is an easy way to see that it isn't true, but there were some others
as well. There are pages about these hoaxes on the anti-virus softwares
homepages. I suggest you read them. I also strongely suggest that you send
an appology stating that it wasn't true to everyone that you sent it to,
including a suggestion that they do the same. Of course you should send it
"up the chain" as well to the person you got it from (and any e-mail
address you see that he/she sent to as well.
