Neil,

My DOS education was primarily obtained from the DOS reference manuals that 
came with my first computer (a Leading Edge Model "D" XT clone) and with my 
third computer (a Gateway 4DX-33 which is now a 586/133) and from articles 
and questions that appeared in PC Magazine.  I think that if you went out to 
a used computer store and found some old reference manuals, they would give 
you a good start in learning DOS.

Things to pay particular attention to are:

Disk Organization

BATch files

PATH statements

Other than that, I would say that if you have specific questions, post them 
and we will try to answer them.
