Greetings Thanks for all the help. I did what someone on the list suggested and went to my local library and found a few books that had some dos info. I skipped the idea of using freedos and instead downloaded drdos7 to my laptop. Installation was a breeze. Messing with the autoexec.bat took some figuring but thanks to info received here and from those library books, I was able to set it up so my mouse worked and it opens to dosstart. I worked with it for several hours before I got the right combination. Now I need to work on how to get it to go to the c:\ prompt when I exit dosstart.
