It would be easy to only use the last dot and turn the rest into underscores. Thereby giving the name "some_fil.txt" in the mentioned example. The reason for saving the last extension is probably obvious to most of you, it's the one we are most interested in since it points out what the file actually is for type of file. //Bernie
