Bastiaan,

Thank you for your lengthy reply. I have worked a bit with Arachne
now and have, as you self say, come to the conclusion that the
built-in editor is works very well in general and with , , .
So I stick with it for a while.

A Pegasus set-up might be interesting in the future, but currently
the built-in mail system in Arachne is sufficient. I do most of my
mail work on a win work station, and I plan to use this 486 DOS
laptop as my secondary mail system. So I do not need a more competent
mail system yet. If I start to use the laptop more seriously
when it comes to mail, I believe I have to start looking into
solutions you mention in order to easier handle larger mail
quantities.

BTW, I just love this laptop. It is a Canon BN22, 486/25 Mhz
black and white screen. Built in printer under the keyboard, and
I got a PCMCIA modem with the purchase together with the original
manuals, original installation diskettes and spare ink cartridges
to the printer for SEK 900, or roughly USD 90. Just fantastic!
Installed PC DOS 2000 and used the PCMCIA drivers which comes with
the PC DOS and it works like a charm. Installed today also the DOS
drivers for my 100 Meg Paralell port zip drive and that one also
works like a charm!

So much competent computing hardware/software for "peanuts". It is
amazing.

Anyway,
Thank you for all the info

Best regards,
Bjrn
