..I don't know if WGET can tell that, but maybe the w9x version of
WS_FTP can tell us. I think if we're going to d/l this, we should
do it from FTP sites, like BU, or whichever is closest/quickest to
the downloader.
..In the next few days, I will install and try out the w9x WS_FTP
and see if that gives a directory/tree total.
