I guessed correctly when I surmised the existence of the SIMTEL MS-DOS filelist still being available from some of the mirror sites. A large number of the Google Hits I got for the list (SIMDOS-L.ZIP) came up with 404... they've been pulled already, but I was able to download it from http://garbo.uwasa.fi/pub/pc/filelist The newest version I could find anywhere was Jan 2001, though it seems that it was only changed twice a year anyway...
