Greetings Roger,
your essay has been printed to paper because such
details can be worthly sometime...

The real problem however is in the PCI-slots.
I don't know the adress and IRQ of these slots.
The .ini file of the installation needs these data.

We had the soundblastercard running on another PC and to be sure this
machine was DOS only we started it up from a floppy disk in the A-drive.
DOS only, of course... and it worked!

But back home my friends ini-file is of no value because i use another
configuration.
Maybe I can plug the card in another PCI-slot...
                                             ... no luck

The driver install program still states:
PCI device detect failed; Device not found
PCI audio driver NOT loading

It seems I have to wait for a few weeks untill my freind is back from
the holydays and we than can sort out things.

Thanks Bastiaan
