  Well, since gnu stuff will always be around, I don't 
think I'll bother with that... mostly the reason was to
insure that if simtel decides to start cleaning out old
files that don't get downloaded much, that they'd still
be "out here" in several different places... not to 
mention, my /mnt/simtel is 97% full.  ;-)

  Losing clusters?  I don't think I need to worry 
much about that on ext2fs with 1k blocks... but let's
suppose that by some miracle, I ended up with each of
the 12755 files wasting 1023 bytes.  That's still only
12 MB of "lost clusters."  :-)
(In real life, I've probably lost 6MB... out of 1.9GB,
that's trivial)
