Are you saying that most of the Windows-based file browser and
file-manager stuff won't even let you see the entire filename?
That would be a most horrible design for an OS that supposedly
supports long file names. With a file manager like that you
might think you are clicking on an image file and accidently
run an EXE. Then you might loudly exclaim "Ooops!" along with
some other expletives. You might even shout out some vulgar
names for various excretory functions and reproductive activities,
even if you are a churchlady. Is Windows really that bad?
